MARIO ROJAS
Mario Rojas has an extensive amateur boxing career spanning over 20 years and over 70 amateur bouts and fought professionally. Mario is a USA Boxing Certified Boxing Coach. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mario comes from a family of boxers and trained and competed alongside his brothers in Guadalajara. Mario trained at the Julian Magdaleno gym in Guadalajara, Mexico, now made famous by its youngest prodigy, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the reigning undisputed middleweight champion. Mario was familiar with Canelo's trainers Eddy Reynoso and Chepo Reynoso before Chepo was a trainer. While in Guadalajara, Mario has fought or sparred in the ring with several notable fighters, including: former WBC featherweight and lightweight champion Alejandro Gonzalez and former WBC bantamweight and featherweight champion Oscar "Chololo" Larios.
Mario is a father and new grandfather whose love and care for the kids and older athletes permeates the gym.
